Fourth grade students have been learning about respect; treat others the way you want to be treated. I asked the students to work in groups and come up with ideas of how we can be more respectful at home, school, with friends, and to our teachers. Here are their ideas:)
Parents: Do your chores without your parents asking, agree with your parents if it's for the good, don't throw temper tantrums, don't whine, don't roll your eyes, and follow their rules. Teachers: Pay attention, be polite, don't talk back, respect the way they do things, don't complain about homework, and give them a hug when they are stressed. School: Clean up after yourself, don't spread rumors, follow the school rules, be honest, have good character, respect property, and live the golden rule. friends: don't make fun of others, don't share secrets, don't bully, don't exclude friends, listen, don't use personal information against them, don't use peer pressure, don't judge them and help them when their in need. During the months of September and October students in K-5th will be learning about careers in preparation for our career Day on October 28th! This month in Guidance Second graders are learning about Careers, specifically about their Interests , Abilities, strengths and weaknesses.
